Meadows is on the IL not for a physical ailment, but instead is on the IL for "anxiety."

Christ, if every Tiger had to go on the IL for anxiety playing for that shit squad, they wouldn't be able to field a team.

I’m a diehard Tigers fan but if the last 10 days are any indication of what this season is going to be, it’s going to be a long season….

Who would win a game between the Tigers and the Mud Hens? The way things are going right now, Toledo has a good shot at coming out ahead.

No Bally Sports here on Dish Network so no Tigers for me. It's really unfortunate. It was nice watching them on TV, I could just tune in when I had time. A subscription to their app makes no sense for a casual watcher. MLBTV is a no go because local teams are blacked out.

For it is a human number
Its number is six hundred and sixty-six

The Mud Hens beat the Tigers in a 1989 exhibition game. It was also the last year they were shutout on opening day until this season.

MLB-TV through a VPN should theoretically circumvent the blackouts.

R.I.P. the 2023 Detroit Tigers season....

Really , what else is there to say?
(My god and it's only early April)...
Fortunately the games are much shorter these days so the pain goes away a bit quicker....

At least losing 4-1 is a "respectable" way to lose. :razz

Just like what was often the case last season, the Tigers jump out to an early lead and get shut out the rest of the way. :rolleyes

Our gazillion dollar shortstop is batting .121 with an OPS of .293. At this rate I doubt any team would sign him if he wanted to opt out after this season -- a double whammy. [sigh]

At least Baddoo is back!

Matt Manning broke his foot, and Mason Englert got lit up. The Blue Jays got to enjoy their home opener at least.

I would like to revise my earlier prediction of 64 wins downward to 54 wins.

Moldy's post on April 2 was absolutely right; I was being too generous with my original prediction.

Oakland is still worse than the Tigers.

That's because Randy Smith 2.0 decided to deplete the one strength of last year's team.
