K State can't get off a last shot. Where have I seen that before. 🤔
Ditto! When the defense knows you absolutely positively must shoot a trey it's like being smothered with a pillow. The thing is MSU did have a shot, but didn't take it. :rolleyes

Florida Atlantic University advances to the Final Four. Hell has officially frozen over!

That team has multiple players who are cast-offs from other programs. The Russian guy who is their center, for example, used to play (perhaps not much) at Texas Tech. Another guy on that squad used to play (again, perhaps not much) for Ohio State.

I'm liking UConn's chances at taking it all. They completely tore Gonzaga a new asshole and have looked good to downright phenomenal in every game played. Ironically, Gonzaga was the only team still alive (until yesterday) that I had picked to advance to the final four. Neither Miami nor Texas will be an easy opponent, though. Both of those schools are playing great basketball right now. That Miami - Texas game will have me glued to the TV set.

I guess Spartan fans can take some comfort in realizing that beating K State was NOT in fact a ticket to the Final 4.

UConn looks unstoppable. I would say Texas, with a healthy Disu, is the only team with any chance to beat them, but as the tournament has shown, literally anything can happen.

I can't believe they called that last second foul on Creighton, they let both teams "play" the entire game. :rolleyes

Helluva comeback by SD State!

Glad it won’t be an all-FL final…

In the span of a single evening the State of Florida has been eliminated. I feel for my friends and fans down there. At least now all they have to worry about is the weather and Burmese pythons. Oh yeah, and murderous spring breakers.

Spring Breakers.... in my admittedly minority opinion a cult classic.

I'm not a sports gambler. But those who are.....is that 7.5 spread I saw early this morning attractive? Taking U Conn and giving up the points?

Opened at 5 and got bought up immediately. UConn has blown out everybody so far, and covered all 5 games they played. SDSU is a tough defensive team, but the Huskies are firing on all cylinders. I'm not playing it....thinking of throwing a little on the under (132.5).

As a diversionary aside, the Iowa and LSU ladies are putting on a good show (on ABC). That one gal for Iowa just sunk a forty-foot three as if it was nothing!

(Edit)
It was actually a 32.6 foot three.

(Edit #2)
She's Caitlin Clark of Iowa...incredible long-range shooter! 23 points on seven threes as I write this.

Iowa is coming back from a 21-point deficit.

(Edit #3)
Bullshit technical!

(Edit #4)
Great team win by LSU, a record high score in a championship game!

Was it too much to ask for another nail biter? UCONN looked dominant.

San Diego State struggled to make a basket before half time. They were never going to overcome that.

Talk about a team getting hot at the right time. None of their games were close. And they finished fourth in their conference in the regular season, behind Marquette, who MSU knocked out of the tournament.
