The tournament should go back to 32 teams so we don't even have these discussions about mediocre teams getting in.

Michigan down the stretch of the regular season offered multiple choke jobs and the game against Rutgers a couple days ago was completely humiliating.

Juwan Howard deserves to be on the hot seat after this year's sluggish finish; a repeat performance next season ought to be worthy of termination of his employment.

I think the "First Four" part of the NCCA tournament is somewhat silly, but it doesn't bother me that much.

Sparty really shit the bed too. They'll be in the tournament, but I'm not sure they will make it very far.

MSU is a damn good home team and a mediocre road / neutral site team.

I suspect they'll be a 7 seed in the big dance.

I think there's an even money chance they'll win the opening round game. I predict they'll lose in the round of 32 unless they are fortunate enough to face a Cinderella team coming off an upset win, in which case they have a shot of advancing further.

REALLY disappointing performance from MSU yesterday. I thought the way they finished they were getting it together at the right time, but to come out and play that game in one we really needed was awful. No way they see the second weekend.

I'll counter your pessimism by saying stranger things have happened. A good draw could change that outlook quickly.

Anything can happen, but that loss assured that we will be a 7 or an 8. I don't see this Spartan team bring able to beat anybody that is gonna be on the 1 or 2 line. If they made it to a 6 seed, it was a possibility.

Izzo does have his best class ever coming in next year, so there is excitement for the future, but I am not thinking this group smells the sweet 16.

I enjoy watching Michigan do well but I learned a long time ago not to invest any serious emotion in to a bunch of teenagers running, jumping, kicking, throwing, bouncing, you name it.
I am happy when they win and pretty indifferent when they lose. I just remember most of them aren't old enough to buy a beer, I don't know them and they don't know me.

MSU wins one game and losses the next one, in my opinion, I'm not going to be surprised if MSU doesn't get out of the 1ST round of the tourney since they haven't had a good season.

They could face the winner of listenbuddy and Keith Butkovich.

Well it looks like MW hit the nail on the head, seed-wise.

MSU gets a 7 seed and faces 10-seed USC. If they beat USC, they face the winner of 2-seed Marquette and 15-seed Vermont.

I think the rest of his prediction may turn out to be spot on as well. If MSU beats USC, I don't see them getting past Marquette, but if Vermont pulls off the upset then MSU may make the Sweet 16.
