This game is playing out just like I thought so far.

I think the NFL should go from eight divisions to four. Play each team in your own division once annually as opposed to twice. Such a change would help prevent mediocre teams from winning divisions (*cough* Tampa Bay *cough*).
I used to think that, but now that they've added an additional wild card, I think this is no longer necessary.

The one change I would support is that in a wild card vs. division winner matchup, home field goes not to the team with the better seed, but rather with the better record (seed being the tiebreaker if both teams have the same record). So I would leave seedings and matchups alone, but like in the case of the Dallas vs. Tampa Bay game, I would have given the home field to Dallas rather than Tampa Bay.
I think they should also eliminate the bye in favor of 8 teams.
I think they should just have a committee pick 4 teams.

Not nearly as annoying as that ram's horn for the Vikings...gawd!
Both are very annoying - true!

However, I despise the locomotive sound effect more.

Nobody chokes quite like the buffalo bills.

They would pick the 4 teams that would make them the most money every time.

There's really been no surprises yet in these playoffs, other than the Jaguars giving KC a bigger run for their money than I expected. Every other game has more or less gone about as expected (and I'm not at all surprised that Buffalo lost).

SB ODDS

Chiefs +260
Eagles +270
Bengals +280
Niners +300

Never been this close headed into the Championship round. It's virtually a pick 'em between all 4 teams.

Fuck Dallas! 😋

A case can be made that they choke as much as the Bills do, at least in the millennial era.

Speaking of chokers:

My (theoretical) money is on the winner of San Fran-Philadelphia taking it all. Something's telling me that Cincy ends up besting the Chiefs, especially if in fact Mahomes isn't 100% due to his ankle problems, only to...you guessed it: End up choking in the Super Bowl YET AGAIN. :lol

Ya' know, just because you lose, doesn't mean you choke. I would hardly call last years SB a gag job on the Bengals part. I thought they overachieved all playoffs long, actually. They covered the spread in the SB which tells you they did better than Vegas thought they would.

And if you're going waaaay back into history, I think they covered the spread in at least one of the other two as well in the 1980's against some classic Joe Montana 49er teams.

Super Bowl XVI was 26-21 Niners at the Sliverdome. 49ers were favorited by 1. Up with people was the half time performance.

Super Bowl XXIII was 20-16 Niners at Joe Robbie Stadium. 49ers were favorited by 7. Cincinnati was ahead 16-13 late in the fourth quarter. That was the Joe Montana to John Taylor pass to win it.

I haven't bet so much as a penny on football this year, but if I were to, I'd probably tease the two overs for:

SF-Phi OVER 39.5
CIN/KC OVER 41.5

6.5pt teaser for -130 odds.

That seems safer to me than teasing both underdogs.
