Big Ten talk

College football is back.....THANK GOD!!!!

What's gonna happen in the Big 14? Here are the Vegas odds to win the BT:

2022 BIG TEN CHAMPIONSHIP ODDS
Ohio State -250
Michigan +750
Wisconsin +1000
Penn State +1400
Iowa +2000
Minnesota +2000
Michigan State +2500
Purdue +2500
Nebraska +5000
Maryland +12500
Indiana +15000
Illinois +20000
Northwestern +20000
Rutgers +30000

Hard to bet against OSU, note that is a minus sign before the 250. They clearly look like the class of the league, but I say they stumble once.

My predictions:

OSU 11-1
UM 9-3 (Matt blames 2 of the 3 losses on the officials)
MSU 8-4

Spartans depth and secondary is a big question mark for me. We cannot afford any injuries to our OL or DB. And God help us if Thorne gets hurt. But I am very high on where the program is headed, and am cautiously optimistic.

Shockingly, I don't like Michigan. I think the QB bullshit will hurt the team, as will missing Haskins and those 2 stud DE's. I do think Donovan Edwards is great and will have a breakout year. Their pussy schedule will help, but OSU will throttle them in Columbus, and they will lose 2 of the 3 between MSU, PSU and Iowa.

Think PSU has a down year....I really don't think Franklin is a good game coach at all. Taking Purdue on the ML tomorrow.....BOILER UP!!

Fuck the West.

Your thoughts?

Michigan has a 10-2 floor. I'm not at all worried about the QB competition.

How do you see the rest of the conference shaping up? Any surprise or overrated teams?

I think it comes down to Michigan and Ohio State for the East, while I see State clearly in third. I think they had a lot of things go their way last year, like Michigan did in 2011, but I think Tucker's a better high level coach than "not as fat, still rape-enabling" Brady Hoke. I think you could see Maryland slot ahead of Frames Janklin's team, although if Clifford is healthy as a 17th senior, Penn State could overachieve. West comes down to Wisconsin, Minnesota, or Iowa, probably in that order.

Pretty much agree. Maryland will upset somebody. But I don't expect Minny to be there, I'm higher on Purdue.

Purdue should be pretty good offensively. I'd like to see Iowa fall off and have a terrible season.

Sounds like Oregon and Washington are the next likely adds to the conference - if they get to 20, do they do it by adding Stanford and Cal?

Cal seems like it would have to go being a UC school like the Bruins. Stanford makes sense but you know the conference is dying to get ND. What a mess. Dump Rutgers.

If Michigan wins in Iowa City AND Columbus, they're going 12-0.

I think Iowa won't be that good. It comes down to MSU and OSU.

Dang. Talk about a bad beat. Wow.

I am definitely doubting that 10-2 for PSU now. That defense looked pretty bad.

Michigan to win Big10 East OSU second & MSU in 3RD I'd like to see both Michigan schools ahead of the Suckeyes. Big10 West Wisconsin, Iowa my dark horse Minn PJ Fleck can't count him out RTB. Scott Frost is on the hot seat he'll be fired if he has another losing season for the Huskers.

I think OSU will lose a game or two, U-M will lose a game or two, and both Penn State and MSU will lose two or three games. Rutgers, Maryland and Indiana will lose a lot.

Out in the West division, I'd have to give the nod to Wisconsin.
