MSU puts Hitler in its scoreboard

What's more pathetic: harassing an old man who is paying to do a radio show or supporting a grifter like Trump?

What in the actual fuck?! Please tell me someone lost their job 45 minutes ago.

Not only is a stupid thing to do, but is this really a good time to be pulling Hitler references out?

The trivia question was apparently "what country was Hitler born in?"

The whole athletic department just needs to be burned down and rebuilt from scratch.

Will Harlon Barnett still be interim head coach after this weekend?

He seems like a nice man - nothing personal against him - but he clearly is incapable as a head coach at the Big Ten level.

Putting Hitler on the scoreboard as a trivia question, especially on the same day a very prominent Jewish civic leader was murdered outside her home in Detroit and when you are hosting an opponent with a sizable Jewish alumni and student body cohort - is in extremely poor taste.

I'll say yes, just because this season is lost and they have no one else to put in that would do any better.

Bring back Dantoni. :hat

Wisconsin brought back Alvarez for a bowl game a number of years back, and of course, Rutgers brought back Schiano on a full time basis.

It's good that the school issued an apology.

I mean, sure. A Synagogue leader was just stabbed to death in Detroit... TERRIBLE timing.

EDIT: There never would be good timing for something like that.

Well, not only that today, but let's not forget about what's happening in the middle east. It was a stupid choice, but good on MSU for recognizing the stupidity.

I agree, and I appreciate the school's quick response, acknowledgement, and apology.

Other schools could learn from this. Let's say, theoretically, a school had a football player tweet an antisemitic post. That school decides to not acknowledge it, and not impose any kind of repercussions. That theoretical school could look at today's unfortunate event and take some pointers on how to properly react to these situations.

It was an unintentional and accidental retweet. He apologized twice.

If he truly held anti-Semitic views, don't ya think we would've heard other examples involving him by now? He graduated from West Bloomfield High School.

I am satisfied with MSU's response to tonight's incident.
