Missing two extra points -- very Lionesque.

As a diehard Hawks fans, I have advised my fellow fans at the game to leave quietly after we win.

I'd say the defense needs a little work. :?
On the positive side, the offense still clicked with our big weapons out. Hockenson's career day was impressive. Goff, outside that pick-6, was as efficient as ever. This may be a team record for total offense from both teams.

A classic Lions loss. Give up 48 points to a team led by a journeyman QB who until this week had scored among the fewest - if not the very fewest - points of all teams in the league.

The seat for Detroit's DC should be getting quite hot.

I'm predicting another loss against New England next week. That would put the Lions at 1-4 heading into the bye week.

There must be a hollow victory in being ever so close each time.

They are half a team. The offense leads the league in scoring. If the defense was any good at all they could be 4-0.

What's the over/under on them losing in the bye week?

Good article from Dave Birkett:
Drafting injured second-rounders — Holmes said the Lions were aware of medical issues coming out of college with both Onwuzurike and Paschal — is reprehensible given the availability of talent in the top 50 picks, the minimal control (four years) teams have on players taken outside of Round 1 and the state of rebuild the Lions have been in since Holmes and Campbell arrived in town.
Glad to finally see some heat being thrown Brad Holmes' way.

If the Lions lose to the Patriots this Sunday, to their former head coach who is now the Pats’ offensive coordinator and who will be using their third-string quarterback, that would be the most SOL thing since the Bills carried Jim Schwartz off the field after they beat the Lions in 2014.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and predict the Lions defense will come out with fire in their eyes and pummel the Patriots in a way we've never seen before, biting a few kneecaps along the way, :smokin

FWIW, the latest line I've seen is Lions +3.

The Lions will win 8-9 games minimum.
:lol :rollin :lol

I can't help but notice Matt hasn't posted in this thread in a while. Lions currently down 26-zip, having lost literally FIVE linebackers to injury in one single game.

As MW said a few years ago in here, this franchise is "an exercise in futility." My favorite quote about this team to date.
