Who the heck is disputing that?

My regular season record prediction has nothing to do with the outcome of Friday's preseason game. It has everything to do with inability to put points on the scoreboard, talent gaps at important positions, and the team's history of being unable to win close games most of the time.

I was thinking this would be a 6-11 or 7-10 season for months. Friday's game had absolute zero bearing on my thinking on that point. If the Lions had WON by 27 points that still would be my prediction.

No one should EVER waste their hard earned money on the fucking Lions.

The finish of Friday's game was a classic Lions finish. That's all I was saying. Not sure why Matt feels otherwise. Maybe he (smartly) doesn't pay much attention to our pathetic local NFL franchise to realize that was a classic Lions finish?

And, yes, I do expect multiple additional late game foibles by the Lions this year. Why? Because they're the Lions! It's in their DNA!

Vegas has the over/under at 6.5 wins.

I've always felt having some success in the preseason is way more important to bad teams trying to get better than it is for good teams. Its just a feeling so don't ask me to quantify it.

It’s the lions I’ll go 6… id rather bet on MIchigan making the playoff or not.

The Lions won every preseason game before they went 0-16. I'll be generous and say 5-12 this season. Take the under and laugh all the way to the bank.

Blough and Boyle both looked terrible yesterday against the Steelers.

Most of Detroit's 2nd+ string sucks. If they suffer many injuries this season, they're in big trouble (I mean, I know they're in big trouble anyways because they're the Lions, but still...)

Goof(yes, spelled it wrong on purpose) is a joke. The only reason he is #1 is he doesn't turn the ball over much, but his accuracy isn't much better than the two assclowns who shit the bed yesterday.

The ONLY reason he's number one is because of his contact.

Now that the Boyle/Blough "QB controversy" is settled, I'd like to opine that WR Tom Kennedy will be picked up by someone who can use a sure pair of hands in their receiver/returner corps. He and Blough both had decent pre-seasons.
Whither goest former first-round LB Jarrad Davis? He's a darn good blitzer but is genuinely found wanting in coverage...not acceptable.
I also wonder where K Riley Patterson will end up since Siebert looks to have nailed the job; that'll be determined today. Patterson kicked straight and true from intermediate range, but lacked a long distance leg.

It's only preseason, but still looked like the same old Lions to me.

Makes you wonder if USA Today would take back their rather optimistic - if not laughable - prediction a few weeks ago on the Lions' 2022 season...
