ESPN Documentary

Post by Bryce » Mon Jun 27, 2022 12:32 pm

Anyone else watch the ESPN documentary on the Red wings and Avalanche rivalry?

I thought it was really really well done. It was a fun watch especially if you lived through those years.

New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

I haven't seen it yet, but I'm currently in Austin and there were some fucking idiots at the bar cheering when Colorado won yesterday. I'm excited to watch it.

What's more pathetic: harassing an old man who is paying to do a radio show or supporting a grifter like Trump?

My former professor was saying that he doesn't get why Wings fans don't like the Avs and were pulling for the Bolts yesterday. "It was 30 years ago." He was spouting off about how it was some manufactured rivalry for the Wings to sell tickets. Claude Lemieux started the whole thing, not the Wings. I basically told him that with him being a Pens fan, he shouldn't try to understand it.

They/them, non-binary and proud.

Remember that “2000 Mules” was concocted by a circus of elephants.
The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.
Audacity sucks.

When the Avs played against the Wings in the Western Conference semifinals in 2008, just a few players remained from those days. The Wings swept them in 4. 2002 was the last time there really was a rivalry between the two.
