At least our "Heisman candidate" played.

Unless you are under 30 all the "I hate team X" smack talk is childish.

The time off argument is a bit weak in my opinion. Georgia had the same downtime we had.

Please. Rivalries are an essential part of sports.

I agree. Georgia was obviously more motivated than Michigan because of that embarrassing loss to Alabama.

I didn't understand why Michigan chose to take the kickoff in the second half. In a game of extremely heightened emotions, they should have taken the ball first and tried to establish the tenor of the game with that award-winning offensive line and those powerful running backs.

You do you.
I don't see making moronic statements essential to a rivalry.

Just curious.... Is anybody keeping track of the bowl records for the two teams?

I've kept track of Michigan's "last two games" record since Bo showed up. It's not very good.

Ferris St. 58 Valdosta St. 17 (Division II Championship!)
Western Michigan 52 Nevada 24
Central Michigan 24 Washington St. 21
Michigan St. 31 Pitt 21

It coulda' been a bowl game clean sweep for the great state of Michigan! Oh well, the B1G once again proves it's not in the same class as the SEC when it comes to the "big one".

Which statement of mine was "moronic"?

It's all in fun...usually. People have been shot and killed over team rivalries. The problem I see with it is semantics. My team beat yours 75 times. Your team beat mine 9 times since 2009. My team beat your team where their team couldn't. Did you win the LAST game? Yes or no?

The karma is a bitch because, you might run your mouth today, and then your team blows and gets their asses handed to them the next 5 years. A little humble pie goes a long way.

My little brother (don't even say it...) used to have an MSU viewing party when they played Michigan. He would have the projector on in the garage, we would play beer pong, had a bonfire, the whole nine yards. He didn't even know MSU beat Pitt the other night! It gets stale because if you ain't winning it all, then what does it matter?

Michigan got beat. Plain and simple. A great Cinderella story, but not enough to take it all.

That same little brother of mine used to get me a gag smart ass Christmas gift of a Michigan shirt from whatever bowl they were playing in that year. I noticed he didn't get me one this year 😉

Lots of demons got exercised this year. We've seen it CAN be done. Now let's see if Harbaugh can keep it up next year.

Agree Mega. My older sister went to Michigan.
Her freshman year, she got me tickets to the OSU game and it was my first college game I ever saw. 24-12, arguably Bo Schembechlers biggest win ever, as he beat Woody for the first time. Was actually a Michigan fan for years, until I decided to go to MSU. Me and my sister meet in Vegas every year to watch the rivalry game. Loser has to wear the other teams gear the next day.

I will always root against UM, unless a victory helps out MSU. I would expect any other true UM fan like you, Matt, MW, etc. cheers against the Spartans too. That is what a rivalry is.

It's a new year. Let's all get along. AND GO UTAH!!!!!

Does Cade or JJ enter the transfer protocol?

You missed this one:
2021 LendingTree Bowl: Liberty 56, Eastern Michigan 20

Maybe it's just an Ann Arbor/Ypsi thing with losing bowl games!

Hopefully not, but I expect JJ to start next year. Him, Edwards, Anthony, Corum, and another player that is hard to make out watched the Orange Bowl trophy presentation. Anything to motivate...

I went to neither school. As a resident of this state, I genuinely root for both teams. I find the trash talk from both sides to be particularly off-putting. But whatever, I guess if it makes this mundane world a little more entertaining for y’all, then go for it. But when all is said and done, it’s just a game. The game, the trash talk, doesn’t really matter. Hold your friends and family close, that’s all that really matters.
