Looks like we are on our way to another perfect season. This time 0-17.

Having said that, this is DETROIT. They may be bums, but they are OUR bums. We need to support them.

Man-o-man, I thought we had a decent shot to pull this one out. Consider that the Lions outgained the Rams in total yards 415-374! A touchdown on that last drive deep into the red zone, and some ensuing stout defense, could've sealed the deal. But nooooo, we had to throw a pick in the end zone, something we've been so used to seeing with Stafford. :rolleyes And not getting that first down with two shots to get one yard! :rolleyes And Goff missing a wide open Swift that would almost certainly have resulted in a touchdown. :rolleyes

All the trick plays, albeit successful, are indicative of a bad team, which no one would dispute we are. Still, I can't help thinking what could've been. :?

Next week at home against a reeling Eagles team presents our best chance thus far of getting into the victory column.

Eagles are now using their QB Jalen Hurts as a running back as Detroit defense cannot stop Hurts run game.

I don't believe Detroit will go 0-17.
The difference between a bad team and a mediocre team isn't that big.
Going 0-1X is pretty rare in the NFL.
Statistically they should win a game or two.

I want another 0-fer season. This way I can say I've seen more winless seasons with the Lions than I've seen playoff wins.

Since we're blessedly spared our [cough, cough] NFL team's presence this beautiful Sunday, I thought I'd get a jump start on the Lion's annual highlight - the draft.

Having been able to see three of the consensus top QBs in next year's draft yesterday afternoon while waiting for Sparty's great undoing by the Spoilermakers [sigh], I must conclude that only Sam Howell of North Carolina impressed me as being worthy of consideration of an early first round selection in a 100+ point shootout with then-unbeaten Wake Forest, and even then I'm dubious. Both Matt Corral of Ole Miss and Malik Willis of Liberty left me wanting in the area of on-field judgement, and Willis especially looked to be run-first, but he certainly has a cannon for an arm -- then so did Andre Ware.

I know a one-game sample is hardly enough on which to base a decision, but certain qualities do make themselves evident.

Watch these idiots play to a tie. Had a golden opportunity to win moments ago with a 48 yard FG try. The kick was short, of course.

If they're gonna fuck up their perfect season, at least win the damn game.

Steelers just got the ball back. Hope they win! 1:37 left in OT.

That dummy Pat Freirmuth lost the football for the Steelers with :08 to play while trying to get out of bounds. What a moron! Trey Flowers stripped the football. Cost Pittsburgh a good chance for a win.

Game ends in a tie. Barf.
