Allowing a team to convert a 4th and 19 from deep in their own territory with just a few seconds left in the game also came back to bite them in the ass.

Definitely! That was a great strike by Jackson.

The Ravens do have probably the best kicker in the NFL. He has now made 50 FGs in a row! Still, I agree with the 5 to 10 percent probability.

If the game were outdoors anywhere other than Denver, I'd place conversion odds at 2 percent.

Just FYI, he missed one in the first quarter.

Having settled down a bit, I now look back at the two dropped passes by the Ravens' Marquise Brown which realistically meant fourteen points. That kept us in the game. I often wonder how professional "receivers" can drop perfect passes like that. But as I've always maintained, football is played "in the moment". Yes, the Lions were robbed.

I think the stat was 50 straight in the 4th quarter and OT.

Whatever happened to that idiot fuzzpower? Wonder if he still thinks Stafford is the reason for the Lions failures? Right now he's over 300 yards, 4 td, halfway through 3rd against SB champs.

Yep, Matt Stafford is certainly a "fraud" all right. :lol

On the bright side, who thought the Lions would be mentioned in the NFL record book this year?

I figured there was always a chance of that happening - by the Lions being the first team to go 0 - 17!

That was a well spent timeout by Dan Campbell prior to Baltimore's snap on 4th down. :lol
(Baltimore thanks Detroit for the breather.)

The Lions always manage to hire the village idiot for head coach.

That''s what happens when the biggest village idiots have been the owners since 1964

At the time I was thinking the same thing: My God, man, Lamar Jackson and their offense are discombobulated! Why are you giving them the chance to regroup? After the fact, I thought perhaps Campbell wanted to regroup his defensive alignment, which turned out to be the Lions' undoing -- rushing only three D-linemen and dropping eight back in coverage. How was Sammy Watkins so wide open? Once again, the so-called "prevent defense" only prevents you from winning. :rolleyes

I rarely say the Lions truly got robbed, but today they got robbed. They earned that win and had it taken away by a BLATANT missed delay-of-game penalty (by 2 full seconds) and then a kick so long it has never been made in the history of the NFL.

This is the first time in years that I can honestly say I feel genuinely bad for the players and coaches on the team.
I don't agree. The lions did not deserved to win that game when you only take the lead once throughout the whole game. Lions took a goose egg in the first, second and third and the start of the fourth quarter.

The blame is not the refs, its the coach, offense and defense you should be blaming.
