If you're referring to the relay throw to first on the attempted double-play, the rules state that you can't "anticipate" a double-play; i.e., a wild throw on the relay doesn't count as an error if the first out was made successfully. It's ruled as just a force-out at second base. Even so, the no-hitter would still be intact.matt1 wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 2:37 amhttps://www.mlb.com/gameday/tigers-vs-m ... ame=634115 Tigers should have had an error in the bottom of the 9th inning though!!! Correct. It's a fielder's choice.moldyoldie wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 10:02 amIf you're referring to the relay throw to first on the attempted double-play, the rules state that you can't "anticipate" a double-play; i.e., a wild throw on the relay doesn't count as an error if the first out was made successfully. Only two bases-on-balls in a no-hitter is quite impressive for Turnbull. What's not so impressive, as mentioned above, is that it's the second time in a month that the Mariners have been no-hit!
