Kentucky Derby Winner Medina Spirit Fails Drug Test

The Kentucky Derby winner, Medina Spirit, failed a postrace drug test, once more putting the practices of his Hall of Fame trainer, Bob Baffert, the embattled sport’s most recognizable personality, under uncomfortable scrutiny.

If disqualified, Medina Spirit would be stripped of the Derby title and the winning purse, becoming only the third horse in the 147-year history of the race to receive the penalty after finishing first.

Doesn't seem fair to penalize the horse. He didn't know he was being given steroids.

You don't have to be a good sport, to be a mad one.

I think a fair compromise would be to kick Toronto out of the original six.

What's more pathetic: harassing an old man who is paying to do a radio show or supporting a grifter like Trump?

If the league had any integrity that would have happened long ago. I've given up. The Leafs must be holding something over Betman's head.

I wonder how many horses GG has put down.

They/them, non-binary and proud.

Remember that “2000 Mules” was concocted by a circus of elephants.
The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.
Audacity sucks.

Did any of the other horses come up positive also?
