It'll be interesting to see the Rangers' Adolis Garcia play in the coming days. I think he's ahead of Baddoo for Rookie of the Year.

The Tigers and Rangers play their seven games against each other this month -- we'll have a better idea who the better ROTY candidate is after those have been played.

I do think the Tigers will suffer one more painful losing streak - or a bad 10 or 12 game stretch where they win only a couple games - before the season concludes.

My start of season prediction of 73 victories, despite being more optimistic than many pundits, could prove to be a little too conservative.

Wow, that didn't take long. Tigers are shitting the bed as we speak. Horrendous pitching performance against the lowly Twins.

Got swept by the Twins. LMFAO!!!

Blew another 4-0 league, too!

I'm thinking my prediction of 73 victories on the season is in increasingly good shape.

You're a jinx, Mr. Metalhead. :razz Damn, taking a game-leading ninth inning grand slam and turning it topsy-turvy in the bottom of the ninth and tenth is more than I can handle right now. :barf

In other news, the Kitties have taken high school righty Jackson Jobe #3 overall in the 2021 MLB Draft. The consensus #1 overall, high school SS Marcelo Mayer, has dropped to the Bosox at #4.

Lame draft for the Tigers. I'm certainly not upset with their #3 overall selection, but the lack of position players taken is absurd.

You can never have enough pitching. :hat They can eventually be traded for established hitters. Besides, the Kitties have OF Greene, IF Torkelson, and C Dingler making a splash in the minors.

There was a team that actually drafted nothing but pitchers. Still can't justify nothing but pitchers.

C'mon guys! The Tigers drafted SS Izaac Pacheco #39 overall! They took OF Austim Murr #165, OF Austin Schultz #285, plus two catchers and a first baseman. Drafting based on need instead of talent and "upside" is what can get you in trouble.

Besides, after last night who needs hitters? Or pitchers, for that matter. :razz :lol

I'm surprised by the 6 game win streak, but let's be honest - the Texas Rangers are a hot pile of garbage.

But these are the teams you HAVE to beat. Twins aren’t much better yet we dropped the 4 game series before the break to them when we should have won 3 out of 4.

Let’s hope we can take the series from the stinking Royals

Talk about an easy post-all-star-break schedule. They still have 10 more straight games against bad teams.

EDIT - I just put $5 on them to win it all. 1000:1 odds for $5,000. Seems like a good lottery ticket anyways. Also $15 to make the playoffs (pays 40:1).

I wonder what the odds go to if the Tigers are sellers at the trade deadline. :hat

There are no indications or rumors that Avila & Company are willing to trade. Their biggest trade chip is probably Jonathan Schoop, who'd be a late season rental. I'm thinking Victor Reyes is another possibility. The veteran pitchers which had always been mentioned previously such as Boyd, Fulmer, and Turnbull are all injured! Fulmer is due back shortly, but the other two....

This Tigers team is complete garbage away from home.

They've given up a shitload of runs in two games now to the lowly Royals.

Recall their pitching was also a disaster when playing the Twins on the road earlier this month.
