I'll still call them the Indians along with the new name. I still call Washington Redskins since I'm not PC and it is my way to say I don't kowtow to PC Culture/Madness.

How about the "Cuyahoga River Conflagrations", even though water cannot catch fire. It was oil or gasoline on top of the water that was on fire. Whether is was somehow spontaneous or deliberately set like the NBC car explosions, water doesn't burn.

Thank God for Democrats proposing clean air and clean water regulations to clean up Lake Erie and stop the fires and pollution.

I would like to take this opportunity to reaffirm my nomination for Cleveland Steamers as the new name for Cleveland's MLB team. :)

How naive... in this hyper partisan world even toilet paper is political. But seriously... what did any of the above have to do with sports or the baseball team or anything?

If the original honor or reason why a pro team was named what it is (IOW, someone found a reason to be offended, so history be damned), wouldn't Cleveland's football team need a new moniker?

I swear, you could call a team "The Stumps" and tree-huggers would sprout up to protest en masse...

Not to mention amputee's.

I always thought the Browns were named after their first head coach Paul Brown. Could have been I was sold a Bill of goods and someone was Lion to me.

Since the football team is the Browns, how about calling the baseball team the Purples.
