"Gator Bait" cheer banned...because racism

"While I know of no evidence of racism associated with our 'Gator Bait' cheer at UF sporting events, there is horrific historic racist imagery associated with the phrase," Fuchs said. "Accordingly, University Athletics and the Gator Band will discontinue the use of the cheer."

I bet fans will still chant Gator Bait a former football player for the Gators started the Gator with hands and arms doesn't get the outrage it's PC run amuck ugh.

This one is silly.
The crowd is chanting for the other team to be gator bait. Not some racial thing. The school knows this.
Boy, somebody at the university has too much free time to think this one up.

You may have to call any female dogs you have by a different name as well. Don’t want to hurt the dogs feelings or anything.

Absolutely absurd.
As a Spartan, I am very concerned they will ban the chant "GO WHITE!!!"

So has Mr. Matt spent a minute in a UMAA classroom? If not, he has no place in any discussion of MSU academics.
