I previously predicted it would go down to the wire and our boys hung with 'em in all facets of the game. The turnovers, the bizarro calls, and especially that uber-bizarro 101-yard fumble return were simply yesterday's chapter in the Curse of Bobby Layne. :hat

Same...old...Lions.

The Lions always take one of two forms:
- They flat out suck
- They show potential, but find ways to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, especially in big games (like what happened today).

The fumble at the 1 yard line is absolutely inexcusable, resulted in what likely was a 14 point swing, and that ultimately proved fatal.
100% correct. Yet still....like Charlie Brown setting up to kick the football....idiots like me keep believing while watching that this was gonna be the game that turns it around. When the whole world just knew the Chiefs were going to win, the Lions were gonna shock the universe. Once again, our hearts and hopes get destroyed.

Fuck moral victories.

I like what a morning show texter wrote: The tie with the Cardinals felt like a loss and the loss to KC felt like a win.

Ex-Spartan Kirk Cousins looked like an All-Pro today.
Man, our guys were dropping like flies out there, and this time I don't mean passes. Even four TDs by Marvin Jones wasn't enough.

Meanwhile in Green Bay, Aaron Rodgers had what some are calling the best game of his career.

Defense today was absolutely terrible. Some of that can be blamed on injury, but not all - I just didn't see much hustle out there. Not often a WR puts up 4 touchdowns and you still lose by double digits.

The defense has been garbage for years. Minnesota isn’t even that good offensively. Cousins is not this good, but then again neither is Stafford.

The whole division is garbage, honestly.

Which football league are YOU watching? The NFC North ranks 2nd out of 8 divisions.

18-8-1 NFC West
16-9-1 NFC North
12-11 AFC East
14-13 AFC South
13-13 NFC South
13-15 AFC West
9-17 AFC North
9-17 NFC East

The record doesn’t say it all. Chicago has no offense (Most of yesterday’s scoring was in garbage time). The Packers are overrated. I don’t know what to make of the Vikings. The Lions of course are a dumpster fire.

Yet, the NFC East still gets the most coverage on TV! FOX and NBC believe in "NFC East über alles"

It’s because of New York, Philadelphia, and Dallas. All are giant markets, and the Dallas Cowboys have a legacy, even though they haven’t won in nearly a quarter of a century.

I don’t know what to make of the Vikings.
Really? They look like a damn good team to me. Certainly one of the best five teams in the NFC.
