Another Lions draft success story! LOL

It probably goes without saying that if he wasn't a second-rounder he'd be LOOOOONG gone!

I think it's fair to say the Lions didn't win the game, the Chargers lost it. :hat If their punter wasn't kicking field goals and they didn't cough it up at the goal line, truly Lionesque endeavors, it would be a different story.

I'm wondering if teams will now be targeting "Big Play" Slay in coming games. And what happened to the Lions' hallowed run defense?

Also, I've never seen so many flags in my life! I don't know the final tally, but the Chargers may have actually outdone us in that department.

I'm just glad Stafford & Company had enough in them to pull this one out.

Who'da thunk it - unbeaten after three games. With the Eagles pretty well decimated by injuries on offense, I consider it something of a Pyrrhic victory to win despite the multiple opportunities off turnovers to put this game away early and coast to the finish line. That blocked field goal with time winding down was simply too Lionesque to not bring on "the feeling" again.

I was glad, however, that for the most part, penalties and dropped passes went our way for a change. I don't think I've ever seen three offensive pass interference calls in a game before. Still waiting for news on injuries to Slay, Daniels, and Amendola.

Next week may be the test of the season - the Chiefs at home. Will the real Lions please stand up.

Chiefs are gonna boat-race them. Lions have been unbelievable lucky....Chargers and Eagles actually played more Lion-like than they have the past couple weeks. Lions have tried to give away all three games this year and only partially succeeded against the Cards. It'll be a bloodbath Sunday

Using the throwbacks to use as some sort of inspirational thing..... I guess whatever works, but as I have found with the Lions they win some unexpected games just to suck you back in and then stomp on your heart. Lions will be missing a couple members of their defense.....Chiefs by 10

Thank goodness for ties. :razz And it should've been 3-0!

The Chiefs look banged up in a few key spots and the Pack were beaten at Lambeau; y'think the stars are aligning for our boys?

I have very little faith that they will still be on top of the NFC North standings on Sunday evening. Stranger things have happened, though. Right now, 84% of the public is betting the Chiefs, and the line has not moved at all from 6 1/2. Which tells you the big bets, usually the sharps, are backing the Lie-downs....at least with the points.

I might take that bet! I'm expecting a down-to-the-wire battle...and "questionable" Stafford will play!

Wow, apparently Stafford really is hurting, and not just a little bit. Here's hoping the Lions can generate an effective running game and absorb a goodly amount of time-of-possession.

Same...old...Lions.

The Lions always take one of two forms:
- They flat out suck
- They show potential, but find ways to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, especially in big games (like what happened today).

The fumble at the 1 yard line is absolutely inexcusable, resulted in what likely was a 14 point swing, and that ultimately proved fatal.
