It would be shocking if the Tigers lose less than 100 games this year. 110 is not out of the realm of possibility. This team is more pathetic by the week. Where are these great prospects they keep talking about? When will they finally realize Ryan Carpenter is horrific and cut bait?

Baltimore only has four more losses right now. Think about that.

Fear not! The Tigers' equivalent of the World Series is fast approaching -- the trade deadline!

It's a sad state of affairs when the trade deadline and figuring out what pick they will have for the 2020 draft. I sure hope they have good scouts.

They're only three losses in front of the Orioles for the worst record in baseball!

With the way the Tigers are playing, 110-115 losses are very possible

The Tigers are 7 - 32 since June 1 following last night's loss.

1-9 in their last 10 games.

There are 59 games left to play. If the Tigers win at the same percentage as the past 39 games, they will only manage 11 more wins for the season. That would put them at 40 wins and 122 losses, which would be the fewest wins ever in MLB since the 162-day game regular season schedule took effect. In terms of winning percentage, that mark would place them at fifth worst of all time (behind the Philly Athletics of 1935 and three teams from the 1890s!!!).

Wow! :eek Now that's a sobering thought.

I couldn't help thinking last night that if they're paying that much for Zimmermann, why didn't they just keep Verlander? :P

Right now, based on winning percentage, the Tigers are the worst team in baseball. How about giving Avila another three years on top of his recent extension?

The pitcher with nine lives, Drew VerHagen, is back and will be starting in Seattle tomorrow night (7/25). VerHagen has been DFAed twice by the Tigers, not to mentioned innumerable call-ups and options. He just refuses to go away! :lol I've always liked his arm and stuff, but as is usual, it's command that's been the issue. I also believe he has a confidence issue just from his body language on the mound.

Who's next, Mikie Mahtook? :smokin

VerHagen is trash. I’ve seen him get bombed countless times, both in Detroit and Toledo. The fact he is starting shows you there is absolutely no pitching in AAA, and how Avila can’t build anything. I would have called up one of the pitchers from Erie for a spot start. If they want a throwaway arm, might as well call up Tim Adelman.

Exactly.

VerHagen = Buck Farmer 2.0. LOL

Did I mention the O's are 5-5 in their last 10 games?

This piece of shit Tigers team is 3 - 16 so far in July!!! :rollin

It's very possible this team picks up fewer victories this month than last month (where 5 games were won). I think this team has at least an even money chance of setting the all time worst record in both franchise history & American League history. A win total in the low 40's looks probable. Hell, there is even a statistically material chance of them not even being able to get to 40 wins!

I didn't think it was possible but they might very well actually be worse than the 2003 team.

And certainly the organization from top to bottom is further up shit creek now than it was then.

Looks like VerHagen is sticking around. How pathetic. He’s 28, almost 29, so not a prospect. Again, Tim Adelman is even older, but his numbers have been better and I have seen some flashes from him this season. He’s not the answer either, but deserves a shot over VerHagen. Hell, over Zimmermann as well. Send him to the pen.

The ideal solution would be to get some arms from Erie a few starts. I’d rather lose with prospects that may have a future over these losers.

30-70. First team with that many losses.
