When is the last time the Lions were alone with the best record in the league?

WR Toney should've sprayed on more stickum or change gloves; his drops were at the crux of the Chiefs' downfall, at least offensively.
He was terrible. Also tipped the ball that led to the pick six.

That said, Marvin Jones looked like shit too.
Did Jones have more than one random catch last night? He was a non-factor.
Jones had two receptions for eight yards.
....and fumbled after one of those catches.

So a non-factor at best and a liability at worst... that's a bad way to return. I really think Goff and co. should have played together in the preseason a few times. I was surprised to hear he had not played at all.

In my opinion, this team is paralleling 1999. That team beat the eventual Super Bowl Champion Rams. They started 6-2 and then went 2-6. They may not be the steaming pile any more, but they aren’t God either. I suspect a 5-3 start, then go 4-5 in the second half for a 9-8 finish with a playoff loss. The franchise is still cursed.
They/them, non-binary and proud.

Jones is probably nearing the end of his career; wasn't expecting much from him this season.

Kansas City (Toney's drops + Reid's poor coaching decisions) basically threw the game away in the fourth. Sure looked a lot like Matt Patricia era Lions!

Getting back to Detroit, I thought Gibbs was underutilized. He looked good when handed the ball.
Morgan Wallen is a piece of garbage.

I think they are just feeling what they got with Gibbs. Thought it was a really bad pick when they made it because it seemed like they could have him later, but now I think he might be truly special.

I'm all in on Campbell and ready to give my soul to these Lie-downs. Of course I'll be letdown, but it's nice to actually believe in a pro football team for the first time in my life....and I'm 67.

Idiotic post - they've played one fucking game. I'm not even a fan, but this is a terrible take.

Yeah... I see this team as better than that and certainly better than the 1999 team...

Minnesota just lost to Tampa Bay. Vikings go to Philadelphia Thursday. Could start 0-2.

I was happy that the Lions spoiled banner night for the Chiefs I almost changed the pick in my pick'em league to the Lions when Kelce was ruled out on Thur but didn't. Drops & clock management really hurt the Chiefs which one of the drops got the Lions a pick 6 Hutch was everywhere Mahomes saw 97 in his sleep after the game LOL. It was a great Lions win the players believing in the system and coach Campbell as well.

The Lions have really made Pat Mahomes human in the only 2 games they have faced the Chiefs as Mahomes beat the Lions on last minute touchdown drive in Detroit in 2019. First win in KC since 1988 although the Lions don't play at Arrowhead all that much.

Rams 30, Seahawks 13.

Packers won in Chicago 38-20.

Looking forward to seeing how the Lions play in Green Bay.

NFC went 4-0 today vs the AFC. Wild card record threshold may end up being higher than normal this year for the NFC.

The Lions were 5 - 0 in 2012 to start the season with former Matthew Stafford BUT lost to the Saints in the wild card.

Aaron Rodgers is sacked and goes down on his first series of the season -- has to be carted off. Too bad, so sad.
