I know they got bailed out by a Dallas penalty, but going for 2 after the penalty when they were back at the 7 was absolutely the wrong call. Needed to shift gears and kick the extra point.
Yours may very well be the majority view, but I actually had little problem with the decision to still go for two. Playing OT at Dallas would've been an uphill battle. The reason the Lions marched down the field on that final drive is because Dallas was playing "prevent".

Replays show Decker did report, and again, the officials HAVE to insert themselves in the results...
"Illegal Touching", what a crock of shit...
What the fuck is the deal with officials and the Lions when they are in Dallas?

There were other penalties there besides illegal touching… he wasn’t covered on the line for one thing so it was an illegal formation. I don’t think reporting or not has bearing on that.

There was also a blatant pass interference that didn't get called earlier.

One thing Dallas will get a pass on now since they won was their utterly horrible clock management after Goff threw the pick. 15 yard penalty then they come out throwing? Easily could have taken the clock down to a minute or less.

Yes and they mentioned that as it happened in the broadcast. There’s something about Dallas or Seattle. No thanks to playing either in the playoffs although a home win over Dallas would be great… what determines who plays where? Is it always higher seed at home the whole way?

Yeah they re-seed every round, so the top half of the highest seeds remaining always get home games.

Great point regarding the clock management. The fact DET got the ball back with about 1:45 on the game clock was quite remarkable. Dallas completely whiffed on that possession.

Not gonna lie. Had the 2-pt conversion counted, I was a little worried about Dallas still having 23 seconds with which to work. (I cannot recall if they still had 1 timeout left to use.)

With Dallas's phenomenal field goal kicker, there's a chance a new NFL field goal distance record could've been set!

Campbell had apparently talked to the officials before the game exactly about this play. The refs fucked it up

They did.

Ryan Clark clearly explained it. Skipper was playing GUARD for fùcks sake. Decker was not covered and the formation was not only legal, but impossible for Skip to be eligible.

Isn't that what you said after Chris Hansen showed up after your last online date?

The Lions got screwed in the worst way, plain and simple. Disgusting.

Same officiating crew, by the way, that fucked up late in fourth quarter of Kansas City - Green Bay.
