Tigers record against the AL East: 2-14
Tigers record against everyone else: 12-3, which includes 8-1 vs NL teams.
Don’t get me wrong, this is not a championship team. But can they contend for the division in the worst one in baseball? Mmmmmaybe?
Even though it’s May 6th, I don’t think we have enough info yet. They need to start playing teams in the AL Central to get an accurate assessment of who they are.

He may not be hitting much above the Mendoza line, but Torkelsen is playing a helluva first base!
Book it, Tigers win again!

Amazing what a little kick in the ego can accomplish.
If he keeps this up he may opt out after all.

With two errors today, you may be right. And so much for our lights-out bullpen.
. Damn, it was shaping up as another great comeback, too.

They might actually be a decent team if they can keep it up.

And then there's the AL East where the 21-17 Yankees are alone in last place and 8.5 games back.
