It's clear the university is very displeased; that doesn't necessarily mean it will prevail in court.

What grounds would the conference have had to take any action on a cheeseburger? The university isn't fucking around with this targeted bullshit. The big ten's actions are despicable.
The election was stolen too. That’s exactly what you sound like.

It's pretty clear here the anti-Michigan group = stop the steal.

Judge supposedly will not make a ruling until this coming Friday. If this proves correct, that means no Harbaugh in Beaver Stadium today.

That's what happens when a litigant files a rambling, 219 page filing.

In fairness, I do not know what pleading (if any) the Big Ten filed.

It was assigned to the on-call judge. There was no recusal.
I'm not so sure that's correct in view of what's just been reported.

It's also possible Kuhnke, if she was the judge scheduled to be on-call this weekend, needs additional time to read and consider the filings that were made.

Careful… that comes perilously close to you admitting there’s something wrong here.

The essence of the decision not to issue a TRO today means next Friday's hearing will be for a preliminary injunction. (There are no hearings for TRO requests.)

What this means is the adverse party (in this case, the Big Ten) will be given notice of the hearing, an opportunity to file pleadings, and any ruling issued by the court can be in effect for as long as the court deems appropriate.

The big ten is being given due process, the exact thing they did NOT extend to Michigan.

How much "due process" the conference is required to give the university in a disciplinary matter is a matter for debate.

I would've loved to have been a fly on the wall in the meeting between Petitti, Ono and Manuel last week.

Court records initially showed the assignment to Judge Connors.

It is unclear if recusal or the urgency of need were responsible for the reassignment.

So one down… you lost on no suspension. Let’s make it 0-2 on Harbaugh getting the hell out of town shall we?
No, I haven't. Remember when you said you were a Michigan fan?
I dislike Harbaugh… he comes off like an aloof meathead to me. He’s absolutely unlikable. He’s been suspended. You said they wouldn’t hand one down.

I'm not quite sure what degree of "due process" some folks were expecting to be furnished.

I suspect the commissioner told Ono and Manuel precisely the evidence he had reviewed from the NCAA. The university had a full week to respond following that meeting (and did respond) before the punishment was announced. One could argue Petitti should've given the university a clear deadline for when his decision would be announced; maybe he did and maybe he did not.

If Harbaugh were interviewed directly, he simply would've repeated what he's already stated publicly.

"There was nothing that ever was swept under the rug or ignored. He (Schembechler) addressed everything in a timely fashion," Harbaugh commented.

"Fuck him. That's the most insensitive, irresponsible comment ever, when you know your teammates suffered rape," Vaughn strongly commented in response. "Fuck you, Jim Harbaugh, and fuck everybody that follows you."

So who plays football better? Penn State or UofM?

I thought you were sports fans not lawyers.
We shall find out tomorrow. However, the next big game James Franklin (PSU coach) wins, will be his first. I'm calling UM 23-13. However, if PSU somehow upsets them, Michigan has their excuse ready.
Final is 24-15. :hat

Nice pick.

No excuse needed. OSU will be the real test. Bring 'em on.
