Bally Sports intends to cease broadcasting MLB games after the 2024 season. That was part of their bankruptcy plan.
Everyone in Chicago is tired of Jerry Reinsdorf. They just lost 100 games and now Benetti walks.
I've liked Benetti's work. This is a great hire for the Tigers.
Should be an interesting from the start. Tigers open the season in Chicago.

Thing is he sounds similar to every other play by play person in the country… I don’t know if that’s an upgrade or not. It’s certainly different than what we are used to.

I didn't see this one coming I thought that they would go cheap and hire from within Jason Benetti was a great hire.

Benetti is a great announcer. I too am surprised by this. While he's versatile, I don't believe he's called a single hockey game before.
