I was pleasantly surprised to have gotten this survey in my inbox. I followed the team's Facebook page a few years back, downloaded their Android app last fall, and bought single game e-tickets back in early November that I never wound up using. I presume they obtained my email address via one of those avenues.

Who knows if this is kayfabe or if fan feedback will actually be taken into consideration when making off-season decisions...

I do sincerely hope Troy Weaver is handed his walking papers.

I gave honest answers to each question, which means in assessing the current direction of the team, I gave the worst scores possible. I also strongly criticized the job performance of Troy Weaver.

Figured I had nothing to lose by providing my honest opinion.

If I received this survey I'd cram the essay answer section with several variations of: "This is the worst Pistons performance in my entire history as a devoted fan".

What purpose does this serve? Do the players liked the most get their contracts renewed?

Maybe the next survey will have "Circle the plays you like".

Save money. Tom Gores can replace Troy Weaver and Monty Williams. Every time Detroit gets the ball, the players look over at a Fan Base panel for signs of what to do next.

Silliness aside, I agree with Freak. This is some sort of marketing thing.
