Whew. What a relief. Credit to Maryland; their defense was outstanding. Their QB cracks under pressure, though.

Sherrone was very mild mannered in his post game on the field interview. He said he promised his mom he wouldn't swear this time. 😁

The peanut gallery at my house is suggesting there is no way UofM will beat OSU next week if they play like they did today.

I thought they did fine as they won.

Michigan struggled with Illinois in Ann Arbor last year, winning 19-17, before blowing out ohio state by 22 the next week.

Michigan's defense will play a much more complete game next week, and I suspect more creativity on offense will be shown. There are almost certainly some designed plays that have been reserved specifically for next week.

Don't forget, TC Talks, that Michigan was without a key weapon on offense much of today as a precaution (Roman Wilson). He got banged up a bit on a play and was immediately removed for the rest of today's game.

I am hopeful about next week but not remotely confident.
I started paying attention in 1969 and only twice in those 54 years we didn't lose at some point. We are running out of games to lose and the teams are getting better.

Michigan had a very vanilla offense, as if they didn't want to show the suckeyes anything, just like last year game against Illinois.

They will face a similar offense next week with better receivers.

I didn't see any of the Michigan game except the last few minutes. Looked like another off game for JJ on the stat line. You Wolvies worried about him?

I am worried just a bit, not a lot. I wouldn't view last week's play calling as a knock against McCarthy.

Some of his passes were certainly not thrown perfectly today but were still catchable. His receivers didn't do many favors for him today.

And Wilson got hurt? Hopefully not serious.

Did McCarthy do a lot of running? I would use him more on RPOs and designed runs, especially vs. OSU

Yikes.

Will Moore be the acting head coach next Saturday, I wonder?

I did indeed notice McCarthy ran the ball less than usual today.

I believe OSU will win next week. They've lost two years in a row, Michigan's football program has issues beyond issues, I just don't think the focus is there.

Hmmmm, and those were the games he didn't know the defensive play calls too.

This isn't the bullshit controversy thread, but the 3 pick game was when Connor Stalions was still employed.
