The new Beatles song

It's Abbey Road for me and it's not even close... #2 and #3 are Rubber Soul and Revolver and I go back and forth all the time on which one I put at #2.

IMHO:

• Rubber Soul is their best album as a band.

• Revolver is their best collection of songs.

• Abbey Road laid the groundwork for 70s rock music, with its separation in the mixes and the warm way the bass envelopes the songs.

• The White Album is the best album by a session band.

I don't see a whole lotta love for Let It Be. Don't blame anyone. That was the final album for my Beatles collection and it took me forever to buy it. If Don't Let Me Down had made the actual album it would have helped. But it isn't their best collection of songs.

"Let It Be" is an odd one for me... I rarely (like maybe once every 5 years) pull it off the shelf to listen to but "I've Got a Feeling" might be my favorite Beatles song.

"Wild Honey Pie" (from the 1968 "White" album) is their worst song!! The George Harrison song "Long Long Long" (also from "White") near the end sounds like a fart or a chair that has a squeaky sound!!

The white album would be top notch also if it was pared down to one disc.
