A FB friend of mine sent me this, this has a Steely Dan kinda feel it with the up tempo kinda funk feel to it, with a touch of smoothness :) .

Used to hear this on the old Classic Gold 630 CFCO, along with some of Thomas's other material (including his lone U.S. Top 40 hit, "Painted Ladies"). It only reached #83 on the Canadian RPM chart in 1979 but he had three Canadian Top 40 hits to his credit at that point and would have six more (including "Hold On," later a hit for Santana).
Ian Thomas also performed this on "Whatever Turns You On," a 1979 CTV sketch comedy show for kids that spun off from "You Can't Do That on Television" and guest-starred Ruth Buzzi.

Ian also wrote "Right Before Your Eyes" in 1976 which the duo America did (from 1982 "View From The Ground"). Ian also wrote "Runner" in 1981 which was also done by Manfred Mann's Earth Band in 1984 (from "Somewhere In Afrika"). The 1978 song "Coming Home" (from "Still Here") is a great song. I wish The Beach Boys could have done the remake of that song.
