The people fighting this are pretty dumb. Marvin Gaye's music has a completely different tempo. How did this even get to court?

They/them, non-binary and proud.

Remember that “2000 Mules” was concocted by a circus of elephants.
The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.
Audacity sucks.

Gaye's estate also sued Robin Thicke and Pharrell for "Blurred Lines" claiming they ripped off "Got To Give It Up". They won that one.

As someone who's heard both songs constantly over the years. The beats are similar. but the melody and singing styles are different. You can't copyright a beat or tempo anyway. Seems like Gaye's family are greedy. Stevie Wonder criticized the first lawsuit against Thicke and John Fogarty supported Sheeran in this one. Hopefully, Gaye's estate stops suing artists over allegedly "copying" his music over beats.

The "Thinking Out Loud" line that says "We found love right where we are" reminds me of Van Morrison 1970 song "Crazy Love". Now I wonder if Morrison will sue Sheeran on that part???

Good to see the outcome of this. Always good when overreach is quelled.

Since the 'alert' was posted 10 days after the fact, I'm left truly wondering if there is anyone who ostensibly benefits when they are posted here.
