Bacharach dies
Burt Bacharach has died at 94 years old. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burt_Bacharach
Re: Bacharach dies
Bacharach made a significant contribution to pop music. He helped bridge the gap between modern and traditional pop music in the 1960s.
How ironic that this news comes on a day that reminds us of one of his most famous songs—"Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head."
I'm forever grateful to him for helping to write this perfect song:

Well said.
The box that many broadcasters won’t look outside of was made in 1969 and hasn’t changed significantly since.

Re: Bacharach dies
I was up north yesterday and heard that song played on 680 WDBC. The funny thing is: it was written in the early '60s and first recorded by, of all people, Richard Chamberlain. Karen and Richard would later record a Bacharach/David medley for their 1971 album "Carpenters," comprising many songs of theirs that had earlier been hits for Dionne Warwick (including "Walk on By" and "Do You Know The Way to San Jose").
