"Got To Get You Into My Life" by the Beatles in the summer of '76. Peaked during the US Bicentennial celebration.

Didn't even have to look that one up ;)

"Got To Get You Into My Life" was also done by Blood, Sweat & Tears (with David Clayton-Thomas) (from "New City") in 1975 as well as Earth, Wind & Fire (from 1978 "Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band") movie soundtrack. By the way, The Beatles album compilation "Rock 'N' Roll Music" was # 2 BUT Wings "At The Speed Of Sound" was # 1 in July of 1976.

The Sheriff song "When I'm With You" originally went to # 61 (Hot 100) in June of 1982.
June 1983 actually. It was also a Top 10 hit even back then in Detroit on 96 WHYT.

Benny Bell's "Shaving Cream," a naughty novelty song from 1946, hit #1 on the CKLW Big 30 March 18 and 25, 1975. The following month, it peaked at #30 on the national Hot 100.
