"Beggin'" is a song written by Bob Gaudio of The Four Seasons and Peggy Santiglia (as Peggy Farina) of The Angels, which reached #16 Hot 100 in early 1967, as originally recorded by The Four Seasons. The remake by Maneskin, an Italian group, will apparently be the most successful remake and version yet, already reaching #1 on many national charts worldwide, and already reaching Gold and Platinum in several countries.
Gaudio is the lanky 20 year old, standing as he played piano, on "Big Girls Don't Cry" with The Four Seasons, on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1962. Santiglia is the 19 year old vocalist on the telephone at the beginning of "My Boyfriend's Back" with The Angels, on Ed Sullivan in 1963.
From the Jimmy Fallon show last week, "Beggin'" by Maneskin.
