Middle of the Road

Anyone remember them?
They had a some brief major success across Europe with hits such as Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep and Tweedle Dee Tweedle Dum, and had minor success in the U.S. with Sacramento.

They were known as the Scottish ABBA and even served as inspiration for them. A lot of early ABBA songs sound like they belong on MOTR's 1971 debut album. It's a shame Abba was the big one

It was the Trinidad duo Mac & Katie Kissoon who did "Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep" that went to # 20 (Hot 100) in September of 1971 on ABC Records.
