Isn't it amazing that a group that started up as hard rock more of less, ended up having 8 Adult Comteproary hits and even a #1 AC hit?

There were alot of good ones on that debut. Subsequent releases of several of Foreigner's studio albums feature bonus tracks, such demo or live versions of songs already on the album, or ones that didn't make it to the collection on the first pass.

It's called 'selling out', and there have been quite a few... REO Speedwagon, Styx, Journey, & Heart come to mind. The $$$ that comes along with mass appeal of their ballads overrules their charter reason for popularity.

Foreigner song "Waiting For A Girl Like You" (December 1981 till February 1982) went to # 2 (10 weeks) tying Missy Elliott "Work It" (from 2002) that did NOT get to # 1. Kept from # 1 by Olivia Newton-John "Physical" as well as Daryl Hall & John Oates "I Can't Go For That (No Can Do)". They had to wait another 3 more years in January of 1985 when "I Want To Know What Love Is" went to # 1 for 3 weeks!!
