I didn't dislike his music, but I was never a real fan either. Last evening I listened to a program in tribute to Kenny Rogers on WSM.

He left a pretty impressive body of work. Whenever he got tired of a particular style of music, he would reinvent himself and go in a new direction. He did some amazing collaborations with the likes of Dolly Parton, Sheena Easton, Lionel Richie, Kim Carnes and Andy Gibb.

The program was four hours long and still left most of his music unplayed.

I started out with nothing and I still have most of it.

The song "Tell It All Brother" (with The First Edition from 1970) is a great song!! Their album "The Ballad Of Calico" (from early 1972) is a great but weird album.
