Joe Flaherty "SCTV" dies

Actor Joe Flaherty from "SCTV". "Freaks And Geeks" on NBC from 1999 - 2000 & the Adam Sandler 1996 movie "Happy Gilmore" has died at 82 years old. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Flaherty

Along with other SCTV alums John Candy, Eugene Levy & Harold Ramis, Flaherty was the voice of a couple of the characters in 1981's weird collection of future space drug, sex and rock & roll animation: the movie, "Heavy Metal".

Today Dan Akroyd credited Joe for being the the person who introduced his entire class at Second City to improv. Belushi, Radner, Murray, the whole group. Then he went on to found SCTV in Toronto.
