I think it would help more if they threw the book at DUI’s more… the number of “he had 8 prior DUI’s before the deadly crash(!)” stories is high. One of those breath ignition interlocks would be a good requirement. Remove it and the computer shorts out permanently and it’s just a big paperweight now. Make it something almost impossible to find and fix.

Well, one of the witnesses described one of the suspects as a Black male in his upper teens. If the suspects are indeed minors, that could explain why the names haven’t been released yet.
