My female friend was quoted $1200 for a parking brake for her '16 Subaru, and I am worried she is getting taken advantage of at the shop. I searched online for quotes and had no luck. Thoughts?

According to a mechanic in Capac that’s not bad. He mentioned cables and shoes and my eyes glazed over.

$1600 sounds about right to get something like that back to square one.

audiophile is the forum car guy. He will probably give you the straight shit on the cost for all of that.

If he starts rattling a set of keys at you, run in the opposite direction.

I don't know a lot about Subaru's but that sounds about right. Taking a shot in the dark here.

I will make sure my friends who are into that stuff stay away from him.

Is this for JUST the parking brakes, or for a complete brake job INCLUDING parking brakes?

If it's "just" parking brakes that sounds really high. (but I also think a LOT of thing are "really high" these days!)

That seems high to me. It does however have an electronic parking brake actuator, that according to Rock Auto is $113 per side. Get a copy of the quote and enter part numbers here:

PS my kids already drive nice cars, probably better than most of you. I'm just a better shopper.

The parking brake is inside the regular disc brake, so they have to take the whole thing apart. When I got my last rear brakes done, I declined the extra $400 to replace the parking brake.

Because virginity is often culturally linked only to vaginal sex, to preserve virginity, adolescents and young adults may engage in other sexual behaviors that involve exchange of fluid and are thus salient for STD acquisition. Overall, oral sex and anal sex are prevalent behaviors in this population, most commonly in conjunction with vaginal sex. Here we consider those who have oral or anal sex without vaginal sex. Amongst those who have only oral sex and/or anal sex, pledgers are over-represented.
