I had heard this, but matt1 and I just confirmed from a reliable source that it is true.

Jerry's show portrayed trans people in a bad light. That said, there is no such thing as bad publicity. RIP, Jerry. I loved your show.
They/them, non-binary and proud.

Jerry's show was and still is a guilty pleasure of mine, along with Maury and Steve Wilkos, Jerry's former head of security. I just like the fighting and drama for some reason.

As for trans people on his said, Jerry himself said he regretted everything about the topic on his show a few years ago.

I saw Jerry in 2016 at the Price is Right Live Stage show in Toledo. While he was a decent host, it was mainly corny jokes about hoping to never appear on his show and I didn't like when he called some of the products that paid to appear on the show "stupid".

No matter what you thought about him or his show, he shook up the daytime TV landscape when talk shows were at their golden age in the '90s.

I know he was 79, but with him still working for much of the last year, combined with being healthy for most of his life, I didn't expect him to pass this quickly. May he R.I.P. So many television icons have died over the past decade, so let's protect Maury and any other aging TV legends at all costs. Cancer sucks.
