To my religious and non-religious friends alike, Happy Easter! Great day for Christians as today celebrates the day that the lord has risen, and to everybody else - hey, today kicks off a long stretch of FANTASTIC weather of sunshine and temps in the 60s and 70s.
So what are everybody's Easter traditions? When I was a kid, my parents would hide an Easter basket full of candy somewhere in the house (for me and my sister) and we'd each have to find it. Now-a-days, we have a family gathering every year in Alpena with a ham dinner and tons of side dishes. Basically the ham version of Thanksgiving except we'll be watching golf instead of football.

It's dogma and it shouldn't offend anyone. How do you feel about Easter baskets for kids?
Faith in this country has gotten so far off track, we should be challenging the conventions that made child assault, racism and "profit" accepted and even defended.
God is not of worldly things.

Never forget that there are plenty of Christians who choose to skip church and worship on their own. Yet, they maintain a reverence to the Lord they serve. So to be clear, neither of these objects were created by me. I'm showing you a picture of what somebody else has done.
I think it's important to point out the types of people who are exploiting religion on radio stations by selling infomercials to those who are robbing people with faith and to expose those politicians who are using religion to further their ambitions.
We have people on this board who use their "faith" for profit and Power.
Particularly on this day of rebirth, it's not wrong to challenge our understanding of the teachings of christ.
