Book Readers
Book Readers
How many people here on Buzzboard read at least one new book a week? I'm talking about going out and buying recently published hardcover books.
Re: Book Readers
I did. But not necessarily new books. Some of the older ones are better. But now I have cataracts. I can still read with effort, but no longer for pleasure. Getting the cataracts removed when I get back home. Looking forward to reading again.
I don't mean to brag, but I just put a puzzle together in 1 day and the box said 2-4 years.

The older the better for me. Some of the local used book stores have great deals.

Here's why I'm wondering. Seems every day someone is putting out a book. Candidates. Mud slinging. Memoirs. You name it. Anyone on TV not promoting a movie is promoting their new book.
Who's reading these books?
Re: Book Readers
I mostly read old books, but I'm trying to stay in touch with some new writing by reading the books that the Wall Street Journal said were the best new books of 2022. I started out with Seven Steeples, and it was in intriguing readings experience.
