This almost leads me to believe that sooner or later, there could be a migration of people moving back to the northern states due to the heat being too much to deal with in the SW or deep south.
I'm in the deep south right now (Florida) Today's high temp was 62 deg. Tomorrow is to be 55 deg with frost possible tomorrow night,

The women who live here year-round love it. Gives them a chance to wear their winter fashions, coats, hats, scarfs, mitts, boots.
Be happy you weren't in FL over Christmas 1979. The snow was really flying over Lake Brantley on Christmas Eve night. That's just north of Orlando, a place people go to not deal with snow. I think that's the only time we ever used the fireplace in that house. Could have used a little "global warming" then, for sure.

We can't control the weather, no matter how much certain people believe we can.

Every January 20, the local TV stations here trot out this old photo from Jan 20 1977,

I've never been to FL but I've been to other places in the south during the summer, the heat was way too much for me. I wouldn't last long.

We were there on Dec 10 and we were wearing shorts and t-shirts and sweating. That's my kind of deal!

Far more shocking was the tornado outbreak in December 2021 where the tornadoes hit Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa. The poles must be shifting.

Actually, both...

I was living in Colorado when her pervy step brother killer her in Boulder. The family fled to Charlevoix to escape the media...
