The last 9 days of November of 2006 were indeed much above average.

And I'm surprised nobody remembers the 8-day-long November heat wave of just 2 years ago. In Saginaw:

61 degrees Nov 3
72 Nov 4
66 Nov 5
70 Nov 6
72 Nov 7
73 Nov 8
77 Nov 9
72 Nov 10 (low that night of only 64)

Toledo had the same warm weather 2 years ago. Unusual for me to wear to wear shorts outside in November.

I do recall a warm November a couple years ago down near the state border. Then, flashforward 2 weeks and I had to fetch my coat. I do detest Midwest weather at times.

Looks like it's coming to an end. We got home from Florida on Oct 30. I hated leaving the heat but this nice spell of warm weather gently eased us into November.

Yesterday I gave my lawn a final cutting and put the machine away. I got my snowblower out and ready to go.

I started out with nothing and I still have most of it.

Blowing the leaves right now, then the party begins...
Glad the wood is stacked high this year.

Who is this DU?

At least, if you believe the GFS models. Outside of some light rain in the southern half of the state on Halloween keeping temps down a bit, temperatures will be unseasonably warm for 10 straight days with the jet stream well up into Canada. I remember we had a full week like this in early November a few years ago.

2006 maybe?
It was like 3 years ago

Sadly, I think I'll have to hang up my golf clubs for the season... Golfed my last round on Thursday... Now to convince the wife we need a golf simulator! :)

...and now begins the yearly lament of the construction worker...I would gladly take 50 degrees again if I could get it. Yet, 50 is merely a pipe dream until at least March 😔

The way the forecast looks 40 is a pipe dream by the end of the week… we’ll be having January conditions.
