"Woke." I keep seeing and hearing the term, but I have no idea what it means.
Am I woke? If I'm not woke, is it something I should aspire to become?
Is woke a good thing? Or is woke a bad thing?

Don't ask me. Sometime around 1998 a popular rapper turned actor extolled the virtues of "getting jiggy with it." He made it seem like it was important, almost necessary, to "get jiggy."
After many inquiry's, to try and find out what I needed to do should I at some point desire to become "jiggy," I still haven't received a satisfactory answer.
Talk about a slap in the face.
New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.
