Australian singer/actress Olivia Newton-John dies of breast cancer at the age of 73.

Just wrote that on Music Musings column.

I met her once in the late 80s while standing in a line at an airport. Just two people striking up a conversation while waiting....we talked for half an hour until it finally hit me.

I suddenly said "Aren't you...."....she grabbed my finger to stop me before I said her name aloud. She said "It took you long enough!".....I said "I've got all your albums!!!".

She smiled, and said "Well, you obviously don't look at the covers!!!"

Very, very nice, unassuming, down to earth, delightful person.

She had a tough struggle but appears to have handled it very gracefully.
