Travel Advice Needed

I used to love flying but now I hate it. Two hours in the dentist chair is less of an ordeal than two hours on a airplane.

We're booked to fly out of Detroit this weekend on Delta Airlines. Now they tell me I have to check in online and download our boarding passes online. I don't know how to do anything like that.

If I go to the Delta website I just get promotions for lots of different vacation packages.

If we show up at the airport without having checked in online and without boarding passes will we be allowed to fly? Or should we just forget about it and stay home? Forfeit our money.

Log in from your desktop and print the boarding passes at home. You will be fine. Also, do NOT stop at Gordon Biersch in the terminal - it sucks.

If you can log in to here, you can log in to Delta.

If you can log in to here, you can log in to Delta.

But here, it shows me where to login. There is a box for my user name and a box for my password and a button to click on for login. Delta doesn't have any of that.

There are kiosks at the airport in front of the Delta counter which will allow you to check in print your boarding passes as well as get your bag tags. If you have difficulty there a nice older gentleman or older female non-union employee will help you through

Id get there at least a couple hours early or you may not be able to sit next to your lovely bride because you pick your seats when you pre-check in.

Are they in some kind of uniform? My Dentist wears a white coat.

Where you going?
Las Vegas. Attending my Union's convention.

My wife is coming along. While I'm in my sessions during the day, she can be in the casino winning money for me.

Nice! You got dining reservations? Need any city tips? Where you staying?

Bally's. That will be our first time there. We usually stay at MGM.

You're real close to Mon Ami Gabi in Paris. Probably my favorite LV restaurant. Great food without costing you a mortgage. Everybody wants to sit outside to watch the fountains, but they don't take reservations for the patio. Tip is to make reservations inside, get there and say you'll wait for an outside table and they always kick you up.

The flight doesn't get in until Sunday evening. Monday and Tuesday nights we'll be attending receptions connected to the convention. Won't be eating out anywhere before Wednesday.

I've now succeeeded in getting into Delta's chech in page. It shows the seat layout to select your seats. But everyone I go to says it's already taken.

I might just call my dentist and book a root canal instead.

If he's booked up, ring your proctologist. May have a different opening.

If all the seats on the plane are already taken, do they allow standing like on the subway?
