Does Anyone Remember Howard Johnson's Mustard?

Post by Ben Zonia » Fri Jul 15, 2022 3:05 am

I was asking someone if they remembered Howard Johnson's Mustard. They didn't. I wondered if anyone did, so I looked it up and found the recipe. I'll try to make it and see if it is as good as I remember. Someone suggested using a whisk to mix the ingredients. All the recipes online were the same. Doesn't look too difficult. I think they used to sell it. Does anyone remember the long lines at Howard Johnson's for Sunday Dinners back in the 1960s? The last Howard Johnson's Restaurant I remember, with the Orange Roof, was just off I-75 near Bay City.

A Howard Johnson's somewhere in Michigan.

Never been to the restaurant but did stay at the Hojo overnight in Lansing.

Next time I empty out a regular mustard squeeze bottle, I'll try the recipe. Thanks.
