Actress & singer Sally Kellerman (original "Hot Lips" in the 1970 movie "M*A*S*H") has died of dementia at 84 years old. Sally did an album for Decca Records "Roll With The Feelin'" in 1972. Also a 1973 Bell Records 45 single "Triad" (remake of the Byrds song) which did not chart. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=O ... NRVT9Asulw https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=O ... Also former singer of Grand Funk Railroad's Mark Farner did a tribute to Sally Kellerman called "Sally" (from 1976 "Born To Die") which has former Wet Willie's singer Jimmy Hall playing harmonica. The song went to # 69 (Hot 100) in March of 1976. (audio only) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmf1H3r ... road-Topic

I had no idea she was that old, or a singer.

I remember seeing her in Rodney Dangerfield's 'Back To School' and she was still very attractive back then.

She had one of those great 'voice-over' voices as well.

RIP

Mark Farner had a relationship with Sally Kellerman, in the timeframe around the time of "Sally", and after his "Bad Time". Many songs are somewhat autobiographical, including those.

Sally had quite an amazing TV and Movie career. A Star Trek fan recently told me about her appearance with William Shatner early in her career.

I recently saw this beautiful young woman on an early episode of My Three Sons, and discovered it was Sally Kellerman.

She guest starred in the early first-season Star Trek episode "Where No Man Has Gone Before" along with Gary Lockwood.

I also didn't realize she had a minor singing career. Listening to that rendition of "Triad", it sounds as if she's conveying the same subtle coquettishness which she often portrayed in her roles.
