Masks at the doctor's office.
Masks at the doctor's office.
I'm sitting here in the lobby of the doctor's office. I'm the only patient with a mask on. I normally don't wear a mask anywhere. But I'm thinking "Isn't everyone here sick?" That's why they are here, right? I see patients walking out from being seen not wearing a mask.
It just strikes me as odd. Out of anywhere you should think of wearing a mask, it would be here waiting to be seen by the doctor, in a waiting room full of sick people.
I probably would of never thought of saying this if Covid had never happened, and everyone didn't already have a potpourri of masks.

At my doc masks are required and I have no problem with that.

My thinking is even if you're not required to wear one because you have received the shots, wouldn't you WANT to wear one in a room full of people you know are under the weather?
Re: Masks at the doctor's office.
My understanding of masks is that they don't protect the person wearing it. They protect the other persons. In Ontario, masks are still mandatory everywhere. Even though I'm fully vaccinated, I have to wear a mask to protect the people who refuse to protect themselves by getting vaccinated.
I started out with nothing and I still have most of it.

Since I'm driving a school bus and masks are mandatory for my work I've pretty much gotten used to it.

Great. That's important work you're doing. We have a neighbour drives a school bus and another who is a crossing guard.

I'm surprised that there are any 'health care' facilities where masks are not a requirement, at least for entry and waiting areas.
Once you're in, a dentist's office would be a tough place to get something done if a mask remained in place (and maybe my foot doctor)...

My foot doctor wants to wear a mask over her nose.

At all of the medical facilities, I go to, masks are still required. I can't think of one that doesn't require them.
